FT Officer wanted in Farmington

Farmington Police Department is a well-respected, proactive, professional police department 

dedicated to providing community-oriented police services in Western Central Maine.  We are 

looking for highly motivated, community oriented, full time police officers to join our team. 

Career development opportunities are available through specialized training, specialty 

assignments (Detective, SRO, FTO, DRE, traffic enforcement, and blood techs) and

Farmington is very unique as it is the service center/county seat.  Farmington has a mixture of 

properties: we protect the state university, regional hospital, regional school district, 

commercial stores, nursing homes, elderly housing, government offices, residential property, 

and farms.  The town has areas which are very built up/congested, areas that are very rural with 

limited access, and hilly terrain in areas that require our department to be very diverse in our 

response preparedness.  Our region offers a very progressive level B school system, (RSU9) 

places to participate in outdoor recreation, including; ATV trails, hiking, biking, hunting,

YOA with 60 college credits, completed phase 1 and 2 of the Law Enforcement Pre-Service 

training, and have passed the MCJA BLETP entrance level physical fitness test within the past

board, polygraph, medical, psychological test and an extensive background check.
