    Troubh Heisler is a full service law firm with a statewide practice based in Portland and has been MAP's legal partner since 1975.

    We provide a wide range of legal services to meet the diverse needs of our individual and business clients. Using a client-oriented approach, we are committed to providing thorough, efficient, cost-effective legal advice and representation at the highest level of expertise.

    From our Attorneys;

    Dear MAP Member:

    As you know, Troubh Heisler proudly provides legal representation to your Police Union.  This work is performed primarily by Bill McKinley and Dan Felkel.  Additionally, Jon Goodman, a former Portland Police Sergeant, is in his second year with our firm after spending five years at a large Portland law firm.  Jon also represents MAP members and units.

    In addition to representing your Union, we are a full-service law firm, and we would be honored to consult with you and your family on any personal legal matter (at no charge for an initial consultation).  In the event that your question cannot be resolved during that free consultation, we will offer further representation to you at a discount that reflects our strong relationship with law enforcement.  For example, we prepare simple wills for a flat fee of $300.  Many firms charge $1,000 or more for this service.

    We also have one of the most successful and experienced personal injury groups in the State.  Bill McKinley, for instance, recently won a 3.1 million dollar judgment for a client in Androscoggin County.  Likewise, Dan Felkel is highly respected as a bankruptcy attorney and provides expert financial consultation on debt-related matters.  Jon Goodman has a wide-ranging practice that includes both civil litigation and criminal defense.  Mike Savasuk, who also recently joined the firm, has a unique expertise in maritime and admiralty law.  Other lawyers at our firm have expertise in estate planning, tax matters, real estate, business and commercial law, employment, worker’s compensation, and a number of other areas.

    In conclusion, we are very pleased to be your lawyer for union-related matters.  We would also be honored to be your personal lawyer.  If we can ever provide you with legal assistance, please do not hesitate to call any of us.

    Very Truly Yours,

    William McKinley
